AI+ Health Summit 2026 recap: AI in Healthcare

Last week, Cecilia Mariani and Cristian Bullokles represented Darwoft at the AI+ Health Summit, hosted by the Special Competitive Studies Project (SCSP) in Washington, DC. The day brought together clinicians, geneticists, policymakers, and technologists to look at where AI is already changing personal health, clinical care, and biomedical research and what it will take to bring that potential to patients responsibly.

The sessions moved across the full range of what AI means for health today:

  • How policy and patient care are becoming more interdependent as AI enters clinical decision-making.

  • What genomics and precision medicine look like when genetic code becomes actionable in real time.

  • How wearables are turning everyday data into personalized, preventive care.

  • What responsible AI adoption actually requires from the people building and regulating it.

If you're working on how technology fits into healthcare's next chapter, this is the kind of conversation worth following closely.

Because in healthcare, impact isn't measured by what ships. It's measured by what stays running for the people who need it.
